FAQ's

Q. What is Chiropractic?
A.
Chiropractic is a hands-on, drug free health care approach. Based on scientific fact, it stimulates your body's own resources. These self regulating functions are controlled by your brain, spinal cord and nerves. When the nervous system is impaired through stress, injury or illness it can cause the tissues and organs to malfunction. This process results in a misalignment called a SUBLUXATION. This is what I do, help your body to eliminate subluxations.

Q. How can Chiropractic help me?
A. People seek chiropractic care for a variety of reasons. Stress, injury and chronic pain are common complaints. Treating the underlying cause of these problems, rather than just relieving the symptoms opens up your body's natural healing process. By finding the cause and correcting the interference giving your body the symptoms is how I help patients recover to a degree of health sometimes greater than they enjoyed before their problem occurred.

Q. Who benefits from Chiropractic?
A. Great question. All ages can enjoy healthier living through Chiropractic. Because trauma can occur at birth and childhood activities also cause spinal problems, most parents have their children checked regularly. Just as regular dental check ups are important, your child's spine being checked by a spine specialist like myself is of utmost importance. You only have one spine and it has nerves that go to every organ. For seniors, better endurance, mobility and spinal function can make a tremendous difference in the quality of life. Maintaining spinal and nervous system health is very important as we age. Our goal is to prevent disease. For all ages Chiropractic makes sense.

Q. How long will I need Chiropractic and how much will it cost?
A.
Those are two of the most asked questions and I am going to answer them right up front. Long standing or neglected problems may require care to restore and maintain spinal health. One adjustment won't cut it. Just like braces on your teeth need time to align, similarly we need to retrain your spine. Age, severity of pain, etc., all contribute to this answer. There is not one time frame for a problem. The good news is together we decide what is right for you. Cost. That's easy. You decide what treatment plan and thus how much it will cost. I give discounts for commitment. You decide what discount you want. The "crisis" approach takes longer and costs more. Most patients find the best results come from a regular care program with periodic check ups. It's up to you.

Q. What is an adjustment?
A.
It is a precisely directed force to a joint that is not moving correctly. Restoring normal function to these joints can allow bones to gradually return to a proper position and cause your body to perform as it should. Each person requires different techniques and based on years of training and experience I will evaluate your unique spinal problem and recommend an individual program of care.
